Investing in the ecological future of Northern Ireland Committed to making industry greener
Reuse - Reduce - Recycle, a phrase most of you will have heard from government television and radio advertisements telling us what we need to do to ensure a bright future for our planet. Government legislation has changed for the better and to ensure we far surpass these requirements we have made substantial investments, one of which was for an optical separation plant at a cost of over £1.2 million. Operating from a 20 acre site on the outskirts of Newtownards, Co. Down, Wright Recycling currently carries and recycles over 300,000 tonnes per annum with an impressive recycling rate of over 80% with a target of 90% by 1012. As the population’s awareness of the needs of the environment has grown, so too has Wright Recycling yet we are still a family run business and that allows us to deliver that little personal touch when communicating with our customers. Everything that the company does is accompanied with Waste Transfer Notes, Duty Of Care, and Certificates of Destruction. Wright Recycling upholds the law to the letter and operates under Northern Ireland Legislation. Our security shredding is a vibrant part of the business with customers asking for more than documents to be destroyed. The Wright group don’t believe in throwing waste into any old container to get rid of it, instead we consult with ourcustomers on every occasion and suggest what type of waste receptacle is best suited to their purpose and the safest to use. We currently ship paper, cardboard, scanboards, wood, metals and polymers all over the world to different mills plus we ship our woodchip to power stations to generate energy from waste.
